Need webhost advice please

Hi All,
I posted here before and never got any replies so I'm giving it one more shot.
I recently purchased a domain name and now need webhosting. I looked into the free options but saw many negatives listed. I'm kind of a noob. I did this many years back with godaddy inclusive package with hosting and it was pretty easy. I did most of the HTML stuff in microsoft publisher and then just uploaded it.

What I'm looking to do is very basic. I want to write articles and throw in some graphics with it. I'm looking for something that is cheap and has good support. I'm also not sure if one with a web-builder is worth the extra cost but if anyone knows a good one that would be greatly appreciated.

I'm based in the US and the target audience will most likely be US based too. I'm looking for simple, easy and affordable. Can anyone suggest a web host for these purposes?

Thanks

always do as suggessted above by others look at reviews do an internet search with hostname see if anything shows up negative wise, now take into consideration that if there is only one bad review and more positive then take the negative one into consideration but don't think that it is always the way it's all about ratio of bad to good reviews.

You probably need to purchase a shared hosting for your website. Hoster will give you access to the some web panel (cPanel or similar) so you can add your domain, create FTP account and upload files, that's all.

You also can purchase a dedicated VPS, but you'll need to configure all software yourself. It not too hard, take a look here for examples: serversuit.com

But I believe it still will be easier for you to purchase a shared hosting package at least for beginning.
