I would recommend Intel processors for heavy duty and reliable services for gaming and more.

Go for Intel Core i7. It will lasts couple of time or last longer than AMD. AMD heats up for a short time. This is proven. I use Intel Core i7 for my games; Diablo and Guild Wars.

If we are talking big games like Battlefield or similar I would do something like:

16 GB RAM

Intel Core i7 6770K

1 or 2 nvidia Geforce 750 TI or 780

Actually this is along the lines of what I want to bump my current system to.

Current Specs:

a good place to benchmark pc hardware would be tomshardware, check their site out and learn a bit about cpu, ram and video cards to make the best gaming rig around

Intel Core i7 - 4th gen or above.

2nd or 3rd gen if on a budget!

My vote is also for Intel Core i7.

Re: Which processor is good for big games?

I suggest you to go with Intel Processor. Now Most of the Intel XEON Processors are used for game servers. you can select one of its best processor as per your needs and you can get the Best performance for Gaming or e-Commerce.
