LAN Connection

Hi,

I have a vaio Laptop with windows XP sp3. I am unable to connect to internet with a LAN cable. The taskbar shows the computers with an X on it. But when I put a LAN cable it doesn't connect and pops a message that network cable is unplugged. I have checked all settings and i hope it's not a hardware problem. Please Help.

Hi dear friend i think you should change your LAN cable.
If than not working than you should check your LAN ports.

Re: LAN Connection

I would replace the cable and update your network drivers first. Would also need to check the Router or Modem to ensure that they are also working OK.

How do you connect to the internet normally?

Re: LAN Connection

Update your drivers for your LAN hardware, and then try again, if not change the cable, and if it doesn't respond, it's hardware problem.
