Re: Free vs Paid Web Hosting

Free webhosting is a double edged sword, you never know when it can pierce you backwards (especially when most un-needed). It is a good idea to start off in the hosting industry, for example if someone is wanting to learn the hosting nuances and functioning, they can use a free account to catch up with things. Once you are ready for a commercial or official launch, it is always a safer idea to purchase a hosting plan from a professional service provider.

For those who have charities or non profit organizations - You may save on some cost by going in for free webhosting. But then what about the times when your website is down for extended period? The very purpose of having a website i.e to be seen on the internet is not served. You would lose out on potential donations, which definitely wont be a good idea! Also consider the plethora of advertisement banners which come with the free hosting accounts; you would lose your identity and value, which again is not very good for your charity.

Going in for a paid hosting service is anyday a better option, it pays multiple dividends in the longer run.

Paid hosting at the most famous website assure that your website wont go down

In free ones they might put ur site down because they want you to pay them...

Re: Free vs Paid Web Hosting

both are good, yea, free web site is also good if you need limited services.
generally, web hosting make limited feature plan as free and if you need some more feature then its come with paid option. so first check what feature you need. than chose plan.........

Free hosting services are good for students to test their applications on the sever side. Paid hosting services are always recommended and best for commercial and professional sites. However, all it depends on personal choice.

Hi, I will give my vote to paid server hosting services because they offers guarantee to secure your data from any malicious attack in any circumstances.

Re: Free vs Paid Web Hosting

I believe that free web hosting services can be good only for testing web sites.

You will have much better opportunities dealing with paid hosting provider.

Re: Free vs Paid Web Hosting

Some hosts require you to place a banner on your pages, others display a window that pops up everytime a page on your site loads, while still others impose an advertising frame on your site.

So, I would better choose Paid hosting service if I were you.

Re: Free vs Paid Web Hosting

Free hosting services are a great alternative for many reasons and if you only require the bare minimum to run your site this might be a viable solution.

Re: Free vs Paid Web Hosting

As of me free hosting is good for advertising revenue model but if you think about business on internet then you must have paid hosting because search engine like google often ignore free hosted sites.
