My Host just deleted my databaseSorry to post this on here but I just had to moan at someone as i'm so annoyed about what has happened. I thought i'd just check my website yesterday as its an important time of year and these few days are possibly the busiest . Only to discover that my webhosts (in their wisdom) have removed my database and thus destroyed my website! It's taken a year to get it where it is and some bright spark has taken it down and now won't restore it in the worst possible time ever!!!
I can't tell you how annoying this is and I can see why people pay for dedicated hosting. Can anyone recommend a good place to get either dedicated or reseller hosting at a good price. this just sucks what they have done! replies apprciated . |

Re: My Host just deleted my databaseHi,
Backup, backup, backup. Once you have that done, you are then permitted to, well, backup. Then backup some more. Prepare for that rainy day, because some day it will rain- usually on the day where the forecast is cloudless and sunny. silvermoon |

Re: My Host just deleted my databaseI agree, make sure you do backups and that your host does as well. Also, you get what you pay for. If you go with a small, low cost, budget web hosting company you're not going to be impressed in the long run. Sure it may seem great for a few months but adventually you'll get burned.

Re: My Host just deleted my databaseQuote:
1.Buy backups with your hosting contract. It pays to have it in the long haul. 2.Due diligency on buying hosting service is advisable. 3.Pony up. Shared hosting is not a place where you would want to be if your website is critical to your business. Consider a starter dedicated hosting package. Tony Costa |
