IPowerWeb.com

Someone today told me bad things about www.IPowerWeb.com. So far, I see no problem with them. Never had a problem actually. Their knowledgebase is a little bit poor, some answers are for their old server. Sometimes their tech support takes a bit to get through on the phone. Saying that, that seems to be the only complaint I would have. Something that most hosts have too, but still, has anyone heard anything bad about these guys?

It seems to be the best service/product I have seen. Hostway.com does have better support, but I wouldn't pay an extra 70/year for support, lol.

iBold is an unknown quantity at this point
Yea, they are ok I guess...but having to pay 3 months at a time kinda sucks, and most of there servers have 2k++ sites (all though I'm sure lots of hosts do this..).

The host 85 server that I am on hosts around 1800 web sites. The most I have seen is around 2000.

"all though I'm sure lots of hosts do this.."
- Very few hosts do this. This is the only reason why IPowerWeb hosts more than 500 websites; which is the usualy maximum quanity of sites per server.

They can do this because they have better servers than most.. However, 2000 web sites is just too much.

This is why they charge 7.95/month. By the way, almost no host makes sales from a 1 mo at a time hosting package, its usually a 1 year plan.

Yes it is. They do make up for a lot of it though with high quality server, but still, a "normal" host would not put over 1000 sites on a server with the specs of the ones at ipowerweb.

I myself see no problem with it, if someone is abusing the resources, they will look into the site, see what they have that is going over, and ask the client to abide by the rules.

Craven, owner of able2know [dot] com used to be hosted with them. But his board became sooooo big that the bandwidth increased a lot, and they noticed that he was runnning more than 3 mysql databases, the limit is 3 i believe. So they asked him to delete them except for the 3, he didn't like it, so he went somewhere else.
