Trinitron monitors

If your a perfectionist... i recommend you do NOT buy a trinitron monitor. I recently purchased a 21" Trinitron, and although it was probably the best money i ever spent on hardware, i can definately say that the 2 grey lines on the screen are probably the most frustrating things i have encountered. Their not really visible unless you are on a white screen, but if you ARE on a white screen, they are clearly visible.. and very annoying. (if you dont know what im talking about, www.cnet.com)

On a better note... have you ever watched a DVD on a 21" monitor? If you havent, you dont know what your missing!

My resolution is now set at 1920 X 1440 ... and im very impressed at the quality. Anyone know where i can find good high res. wallpapers?

Mmmm, yeah I've come across that. The wires are used for support and tension of the gauze, but are really annoying. But you do get used to them.

On my laptop, there's a broken pixel slap bang in the middle of the screen whici is irritating, but as there is nothing that I can do about it, I just grin & bear it.

I've watched DVDs from 25" normal TVs and I'm awestruck by the clarity. I can only imagine how a CRT moniter wuld have it.

You get used to it...especially once you realize that a good aperture grill monitor beats just about any shadow mask unit out there for depth of colour and crispness...
