picture siteHi
I'm fairly new to web design - i just found out about css. My first creation (www.bob31984.btinternet.co.uk) went quite well, and now I am trying to design a site to show pictures of my and the lads motorbiking, using my Konica KD-400Z digital cam. Does anybody have any tips on organizing images on a larger scale? Something using javaScript to display them in manageable chunks, that will do the old 1-10, 11-20 pics per page without me having to manually create each one? Something with a little bit of flexability so that i can delete or add pictures without having to recode every page? Basically I'm looking for some shortcuts I would be very thankfull for any help, and for what it's worth I'll put your name on the site! |

Hello bob31-something,
So you've conquered CSS, that's good to hear. Perhaps it's possible to manage images using JavaScript but I couldn't say if that is the smartest thing to do for the long term. It will be wiser for you to go the way of using some server-side script and save the data into a database. PHP is the easiest (to learn AND use) if you have no programming background. __________________

Ok, I'll try that thanks. I learnt the basics of PHP and MYSQL about a year ago, but never really followed it through.
Cheers. |
