Rambus problems

I recently installed some new Rambus. I booted up afterwards, BIOS stopped me saying "NEW MEMORY DETECTED PRESS F1 TO CONTINUE F2 TO ENTER SETUP"

So I press F2. It takes me to BIOS, I check 'system memory' and it says 1024 (which is what I upgraded to, from 512).

I figure "Great, no problem", and head on into Windows. My problem is that Windoze reports it as only having 512 still, anyone know what's up?
