Radcliffenet.net UK

Hi,
Has anyone hosted with the above UK company?

I hosted some stuff there for 12 months but when it came to renewal I couldn't contact them and their site appears dead. Fortunately I havent paid them any more money and I've moved the site to Vilitas.
I suspect they were a one-man reseller outfit.

No experience with them I'm afraid.

I tried the Google cache to see if I could get anything from the site, but no contact information really.

I found quite a few others having problems saying they seem to have "disappeared".

You may however, be interested in this link as they seem to also be known as RadNetHost: contact details

Thanks,
Reminded me where they hosted stuff.
dnsvault.com, listed as being in Canada.

I ran that through through http://www.***.com and interestingly their nameservers come back as ns1.spamshutdown.com.
These are registered to dotster.com.
Looks like the domain has been parked.

Curiouser and curiouser as Alice said.

M3THOD is an unknown quantity at this point
Me being a customer of Radcliffenet.net is very unhappy

This is what happened people, you can only buy 2 yr hosting and a domain yea, so i bought 2 yrs with them, i got domain plus hosting the thing is i never had any control over the domain name, i thought that was wierd to start off with, they set all the name server up ect, and gave me login to the ftp server...

So i bought 3cho.co.uk with webspace included...

Ive been with them for a about half a yr they wernt reliable always about 20 mins downtime a day.... In the end it got worse and worse...

Till 1 day i had a message on my domain saying "You have exceeded your bandwidth limit", i thought thats wierd i shouldnt have its star of the month, so i went to radcliffenet.net, GUESS WHAT! They had same message on there domain "You have exceeded your bandwidth limit"... It was like that for 2 weeks then the domain disapeared completely... Same with my domain ...

Its been 3 months or more now, ive tried contacting them, but have no luck.

Ive bought manu domains since and have learnt to always buy from places u know u can call up if somthing happens, i still have a yr and half left with radcliffenet.net and if i ever catch this ****er who messed me up he will be the most unhppiest guy on earth!

Hehe but apart from that ima keep hunting till i get my domain and money back haha.

Hello M3THOD,

I am sorry to hear about your predicament.

You're right, you have to be very careful who you decide to do business with on the Net these days - unfortunately it's like that!

I would suggest you buy domain names through domain registrars and web hosting from web hosts. Don't do the 'all-in-one-package' thing!

Now, about your domain, I am not sure how it works with .co.uk domain names but I am certain there's an office near you where you can call to get it back or something? The host may have jumped ship but you still 'own' the domain name...

I know this doesn't help...but I am always wary of companies that try to bundle too much, in turn having too much control.

In my case the domain was registered elsewhere so I just changed the DNS records to point at the new host.

Fortunately I got almost 12 months out of them but I feel sorry for you guys that have been done short. If youre in Uk and paid by credit card you might try to claim the money back via the CC company.

Hello johnybwoy,

Perhaps if you tell us the domain name(s), someone here will be able to suggest what you can do or who you can write to.
