Question

MSChart Locking Chart Parts

I am using Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 on Windows 2000 SP4 with MSChart Active X control. The user is able to move the chart parts like the chart itself, Chart Title, and Legend to whatever location within the MSChart Control. Is there anyway to prevent the user from doing this?

Thanks
Chris

Re: MSChart Locking Chart Parts

Good news I finally figured it out. You have to put a PreTranslateMessage and before the LMouseDown message can process you can use the TwipsToChartPart function to find out if the user has clicked on the chart part you dont want to get moved. Then just return TRUE to stop the message from being processed.
