Apachebench help

As of last week, someone decided they were going to attack my web server using Apachebench. What the attacker is doing is simply running a program that makes thousands of Apachebench requests on my server all day long, effectively making the server useless.
My question is, is there any way I can block/deny or filter Apachebench requests on my web server?
Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide.

Re: Apachebench help

Is the attack from one specific IP address? Have you considered blocking the IP already?

You should copy the "hits" into a text file and submit/report it to the service provider as well.
