Help: Need to deal with high-volume business

Hi everything.

We have a very high-volume (billions) set of customers, and we need to find out who we need to speak to about this kind of opportunity. We've tried contacting some of the "leading companies", but they're all talking about needing to "check out our website and business cards", and providing us with little faxable pdf forms. They're not set up to handle our kind of business.

So, how do we handle this? Are there companies out there that server higher volume business resellers? This is a major part of our business, but I don't have any expert to call on this one.

Thanks for the advice in advance.

hi lambert, I dun know what is your defination of high volume. I am using a company call iPayDNA. They are not an aggregator but the are a banks reseller. The best thing is they dun hold my payments. The acquiring bank pays me directly. I do not know if I can post the company's URL here but I'm sure you can do a quick search on yahoo. I dealt with a guy called Vince. So far so good. But if you have already get a new processor, please do let me know as I am also interested to know..in this business you always need a back up...right?

I'm in the USA; California to be specific.

And by 'high volume', I mean hundreds of accounts a month.

Re: Help: Need to deal with high-volume business

Well assuming it is not high risk and it is over $100,000 a month - most MAPs would require things like:
  • A brief description and summary of the merchant’s account and the product, which includes shipping method, delivery time and refund policy
  • Business tax returns–two years
  • Personal tax returns–two years
  • Business financial statements–two years
  • Personal financial statements–two years
  • Articles of Incorporation or business license
  • Six months of previous processor statements, if applicable
  • If there are no processor statements, submit the last three months of merchant’s bank statements
  • Refer to attached document entitled “Supporting Documentation By Ownership Type”
This does all depends on the acquiring bank as well as the under-writing department.

Yup. That's what I've seen.

Is there someone reccomended here? Basically, my problem is that the *vast* majority of vendors are like, "make sure you include the username in the subject line of the email." I'm trying to build a completely automated system that doesn't need much customer interaction. Is there someone out there geared to customers like me?

I am not certain what you mean when you say username here? A merchant account is something that allows you to accept credit cards. Are you wanting a system that keeps track of users etc?

Sorry, username is just an example illustrating what I'm talking about. The mentality of Merchant Providers is not geared towards automated, high volume operations. I'll check out your stuff.

I'd be curious, if you think you're the best choice, whom you consider to be your leading competitors? I'd like to compare myself.

The largest ISO is Chase / Paymentech - 50% of them are owned by First Data. First Data is the largest transaction processor in the United States. First Data actually owns Cardservice as well (who we use). They support batch - but it is usually 5,000 transactions daily for that type of operation.

The majority of the competitors - are (in one way of another) owned by First Data actually. In the top 20, I would say probably about 5 of them are owned by First Data.

Yes, I know about FD. I used to be a senior engineer at a credit card processing company. I'm just looking for someone who has experience building large scale Merchant account application systems. Is this reall you?

So, what's your relationship with VirtualPBX? Are you then a reseller of services as well? ;-)
