So, moving on to what I really want to discuss, in my quest for programs that'll let me earn my pocket money of the internet I found quite a few people suggesting me to join Google Junction, let me tell you that I'm a complete newbie and dunno much about e-commerce, hence I request anyone with any any suggestions to write in.

There is no Google Junction that I know of....unless Google bought out Valueclick :>)

There are three main advertising models when it comes to online programs.

Pay per sale/lead or action - This is what Commissions Junction, Amazon and Linkshare amongst others specialize in. The basic premise is that if you can send them a visitor that buys their product, they will give you a commission. It is also possible (though check the rules) to send this traffic directly to the advertisers using PPC programs like Overture and Adwords.

Pay per click - Google (Adsense) and Yahoo are two companies that have programs that pay you when a visitor clicks on an advertisement on your site. The per click payments are usually small.

Pay per impression - Companies like Fastclick, Valueclick and Casale also pay based on the number of ad impressions. This model is banner based and best for higher traffic sites.

So, do you already have a website that you are looking to make some money off of?

As I said, I'm a complete newbie in this field, and have no commercial site of my own (in fact this broadband internet is new for me unitll about a few months ago I was hooked up on a dial up!) All that I have is a itself a free site on tripod, so i guess I can't possibly earn by putting up ads.

Any other way out? All that I want is about Rs. 200 per month (approx. $5.00), for my whims!

Setup a blog on blogger.com. Write about something that interests you. I believe you can put your own Google ads on it...see if that can get you for $5 per month you want to start off with.

I was going to tell you what Div said -- register an account with blogger and apply to AdSense.

Since you're under the age limit, you should not think about registering it (AdSense) under someone else's name e.g. like your Dad, brother or 3rd cousin.

Write stuff today and build your web site by adding stories regularly. Use affiliate programs like CJ.com, Linkshare.com and Clickbank.com to fill in the advertising space that you would have otherwise used if you were in the AdSense programme.

When you celebrate your 18th birthday, visit the Google AdSense page and register. By this time, your website will have significant traffic and you could potentially earn your $5 in under one hour! Hehehe...

The reason for me searching for sources of income on the Inet was to recover the $6.00 that I pay to my broadband service provider per month!
But acting on the advice of a well-wisher (also a member of GID) I have dropped the idea because I am probably too young to be worrying to be worrying about money.
I should better concentrate on other more important things

you have taken a good decision dear,google junction is no program that u have to join,they just send u a cd in which they have given info abt how to make money through adwords and cj.com nothing else and this info is avaialbe for free all over the internet .And google junction charges 1000 Rs !!!
