<PHP> fopen basicsSir,
I am doing my project on a webpage and handling the scripts in php .I have a section named news in my webpage where i wanted to update news from thehollywood reporter page http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr/index.jsp .. There is a section containing latest news .. is there any provision without accessing the database of the page . to access this code and just read them through php scripts simply using fopen or some other basic fstream functions .. Looking forward for your answers.. Thanks Dhruuba Adhikari |

Re: <Php>fopen basicsYes, of course you can do this with PHP... fopen, fsockopen or even simply file_get_contents!
That is not the problem... the REAL problem is if you are allowed to grab and reproduce the content on your web site. You will surely need the permission of the authors. |

Re: <PHP> fopen basicsI became clear about that that we need a permission from the author to get that .. Am really greatful for that .But is there any provision of getting the html contents and copying to our page. I just mean to read but not write.. I think it must be possible as its simply reading the source as we view source.. Will be grateful to get replies...
