Problem with executing PHP in webpageOkay - I have spent the last four hours searching the archives here, because I don't want to ask a question that's already answered somewhere, but I can't find the answer anywhere. I have just installed apache2triad 1.4.3 so I can use the PHP and PostgreSQL features to build my website and test it here at home first. I am running a P4 with 512 MB RAM, Windows XP Pro SP2, and am trying to use DreamweaverMX with this setup. I also have the phakt add-on so DW can utilize PostgreSQL. My problem is while following the DW tutorial (to learn dreamweaver) the PHP timetest page they have won't work when I view it from localhost...all I get is the script/page.
1) I had IIS running as well as apache - shut down IIS and restarted apache. 2) After reading posts here, I'm not sure if I have apache set up right...when I go to localhost, I get the index with the apache2triad logo in bottom right, but not really a welcome screen as other have stated. 3)The PHP page won't even preview correctly in IE6 from in DW. Am I missing something simple? I'm not even sure what other information would help in troubleshooting this. - Aaron eacton4@comcast.net |
