favicon helpHelp!
A day and a half trying to figure it out....three editors .....no favicon! Tried to type in <head> of index. I've seen two ways...one with ".com", one without, tried both. Able to drag and drop one....no luck. I have cleared history and temp internet files... Linux web hosting..... They allow icons, yes? What am I missing, seems too easy. How do I upload...or embed into my root web? I've read all posts I can find. THX Scott |

Hi Scott, if you are in reference to http://www.flyfishingtexas.com/favicon.ico then I can see your icon just fine, but IE is a real pain in the butt.
Basically, IE has a bug in it that means 99% of icons will never be seen and its a real shame because they just won't develop it until the new Windows comes out which could be years. If you add your site to your favourites, you will be able to see it in IE. Opera, Mozilla and Firebird deal with it just fine, so it might be worth checking them out to see for yourself. Rob |
