A humourous new article

This was found in our local co-op's publication:

Korean Kimchi Wonder Cure?

As reported on ABC and the BBC, researchers at Seoul National University recently fed kimchi, a spicy fermented cabbage, ginger, and onion slaw, to 13 avian flu-infected chickens, and, a week later, 11 recovered.

Hardly an exhaustive study, but it may address what nutritionists have long suspected, that healthy, "probiotic," fermented foods like kimchi or kefir might prevent a variety of ills, including infections.

"We found that the chickens recovered from bird flu, Newcastle disease, and bronchitis," said Professor Kong Sa-ou of Seoul National University. "The birds' death rate fell [and] they were livelier."

Sales of kimchi are booming in areas where avian flu is breaking out, according to the BBC.

HEHEHEHEHE, good times...

That Kimchi, it's a spicy'a meatball. I didn't know it could save my life though. BTW, I liked it much more before I found out how it is (traditionally) made. Not that it stopped me from eating it mind you. And I'm still alive. I guess that means it is a miracle cure.

Three cheers for doctor Walt.

Oh, and if sauerkraut falls into that catagory, I may live forever.
