Well, James... all I can say now is that I really feel bad for you - you tried, I tried, we tried and FAILED miserably.

Sometimes it helps to step away and look at the problem again another day

I figured it out!

You have to be running PHP as a module! How retarded is that???

I wouldn't have thought that would have anything to do with it...but that's exactly what it is.

The problem now though, what happens if I ever want to run PHP the other way (not as a module)...

And now, I'm having problems running GD - says some junk about unable to load dynamic library './php_gd2.dll' - The specified module could not be found.

Anyhow, hopefully I can figure that one out...

I fixed the GD problem...

I just had to put the DLL in the windows folder.

I wouldn't have thought about that, to be honest. I don't know anyone anymore who has PHP running as CGI - but everyday we learn something new!

I am happy you got that figured out, now I can sleep

OK, here is my "retard" question:

How did you install PHP as module on Win32?

I have experinced the very same problem at the very same way!

Hello majstors,

Once you download the PHP zip file, you'll find the install.txt file containing clear instructions on how to install PHP either way, CGI or MODULE.

Here's the relevant excerpts from that file:
Quote:
Installing PHP for Apache as module
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now that version 4.1 introduces a safer sapi module, we recommend
that you configure PHP as a module in Apache.
To accomplish this, you have to load the php4apache.dll in your
Apache httpd.conf...
