Connection Question

i'm a newbie
I want to connect java application MySQL and Tomcat Apache
can someone expert guide me how to perform this thank you

i'm using window XP
i want to ask is it i need to download apache http server and apache tomcat to built it up
and i also want to connect MySQL using conector/j to connect to apache, how to do it??? thank you

Yes. You need to download all of the software listed in that web page...

i feel blur how to setup the connection of the apache server and apache tomcat?
i don understand how the MySQL connector/j can be retrieve if i copy the jar file to the tomcat lib?
can u tell me more how connector/j work.
