This has been bothering me for a couple of weeks now.And you guys seem knowledgable enough to know what I need to do. I'm pretty new to MySQL and don't know how to do a lot of things, though I am learning fast. I have been writing in HTML for 12 years now, so I've decided to dive into the database portion of it all just now.
So here's my question. I'm creating a website for a local artist and he wants his artwork displayed like a book. The only problem is that he needs to update it. For this, I created a database with tables for ID, Artwork Name and Text. Seeing as how it's going to look like a book, there's only going to be once piece of art on each page and only two pages open at one time. Everytime he updates, the most recent one will be moved up to the first page when the book is opened. All I've figured out so far is how to LIMIT the query to 2. But i want to have the option for people to go back to the past ones until there are no more to view and vice versa. How do I go about doing this? I would be most grateful for any advice you could all give me. BTW, I am using PHP and MySQL Thanks |
