Problems running Tekken 3

Well, here is a tricky one- I borrowed Tekken 3 from a friend of mine (whose computer is due for some serious upgrade ), he has a P3 system and the game runs OK on it.
Now the problem is that the game simply doesn't support WinXP (i think), and when I run it under Win98 (I have a dual boot system), it flashes an error stating that the game requires a "Pentium Class Processor" which I fail to comprehend 'cuz I have Pentium4 on my system.

Re: Problems running Tekken 3

Whether the Tekken3 is a PC game or Playstation DVD?

Did you try installing it in Windows XP?
You can also run the game in Windows XP, using Windows 98 compatibility mode.

Paramesh.

How am I supposed to know that?

But I have reasons to belive that it is a playstation thing 'cuz it installed some platform which I don't quite remember, if that is the right symptom then it most probably was a playstation game.

netnut, you can just quote other ppl's text by using this:

rather than typing Originally posted by Paramesh.

Check whether the thing you have is a cd or DVD.
Also, check in the cover of the DVD/CD whether it is a playstation or a PC game.

Also, tell us what software you are using to run the tekken game.
i.e the name of the exe you are clicking.

Regards,
Paramesh.

Re: Problems running Tekken 3

I never heard of Tekken being anything BUT a Playstation game. PS2 I believe. It was an exclusive at the time so that would be the problem. or you could just check to see if it is a black cd, then you would know it is.
