display problem in firefox and opera

Hi !

I created a template page using tables and I use a 3x3 table and this is what I did to create a look of a box with curved edges:

1st row 1st col : use an image
1st row 2nd col : use an image as a background (repeat x-axis) (Does not display in opera for two of the tables)
1st row 3rd col : use an image

2nd row 1st col : use an image as a background (repeat y-axis)
2nd row 2nd col : Center cell background color which fails in firefox and opera
2nd row 3rd col : use an image as a background (repeat y-axis)

3rd row 1st col : use an image
3rd row 2nd col : use an image as a background (repeat x-axis) (Does not display in opera for two of the tables)
3rd row 3rd col : use an image

Also I cannot center the images in firefox even though they center fine on IE and opera

Cany anyone please help me on this, I have been at this for quite a while without a result. The link to the page is http://cohesivedesign.tripod.com/in...a194_index.html

I get an error when I try to access your page. However, are you using CSS to make the page? Normally it works fairly well.

Re: display problem in firefox and opera

I see you have a XHTML Validation link at the bottom. I got 103 errors when checking. Go through those and get the page cleaned up a bit. It may be that your CSS is not working like you anticipate due to some of them. Looked like a bunch of "need to properly close tags" and other types of things that could be mucking up the works.

Could be why is seems to work but not for all browsers.

You may want to wrap your javascripts with,
HTML Code:
<script type="text/javascript"><!-- Your script //--></script>
That could help cut down on the browsers confusion. Just tossing things out there for you, hth.

Re: display problem in firefox and opera

All those errors is due all the crap tripod has posted on my website as publicity, I wish I could do something about it but I don't have my own web space.

Anyway the entire site validates for xhtml 1.1 transitional its only when i post the website on tripod it adds a lot stuff like pictures and its ads which makes the xhtml not validate but thats not the problem as far as I know ,

Oh.. I was able to center images on firefox so now its just the background color and display problem in opera
