My cd drve is gone!!!! What happen??? How can i fix it??? Please help!!!!

Does it still show that it has power? How old was it? What do you usually use it for (regularly listen to music or the occasional app installs)?

It still wokring, my cd drive can still be open and close. But i think the cd drive is not attach to my pc.

You mean it's not appearing in Windows? Does it appear on the BIOS check screen when you first boot up? (It should show up right after your hard drive, after the memory test). Have you changed any computer settings?

Fobbie, how comfortable are you opening up your computer and troubleshooting by undoing cables, etc?

ps - you didn't use one of those copy-protected Sony CDs the wrong way did you? I hear they nuke your drive if you try to circumvent the DRM.

OK... Was your "nope not showing at all" in reference to Crystal Lattice telling you to check your BIOS? Or were you still saying that no it isnt appearing as a drive? You really need to give details in order to troubleshoot a problem. Please tell us more. Is this a CD Drive you just added or has it been there? Was it ever working? etc etc etc
