video editing question


i'm making downloadable movie trailers in wmv format and i want them to jump to a website when they finish playing. anyone know about this?

Hi Kris,

Unless you have already seen this on another website and can point us to a sample web page where this is being done, I doubt very much that you can manoeuvre Windows Media Player to open a new web browser window from within a .wmv file...

This would redirect after 3000 milliseconds (3 seconds). The problem you are going to have is determining when the video has completed. For people with slow bandwidth it will take longer for the video to download and play than for those with faster bandwidth.

thanks for the insite. i don't know of any urls that have it, but i've seen videos on kazaa that do it. downloadable movies that goto a browser on end.

Name a file that is small and safe for all to see and legal that we could search and download to see what you mean.

thanks for the links. i found some great info in there. as for the kazaa files, i wouldn't have the first clue where to find them. i just found one once.. wish i would have kept it instead of trashing it.

I was surching for the same thing, and I found it. Just download the latest windows media encoder. It contains a file editor where you can link any frame within the movie to open a page.
