Hi. I have two drives a DVD-RW and CD-RW. Both drives write and read to CD-R media disks ok, as does the DVD drive with CD-RW media disks. However the CD-RW drive won't write to CD-RW media though it reads it ok. I have cleaned the lens, used several media brands and burning programs. A program will give indication of writing up to 99% then gives message "unable to write to disk". No reason given. Now while the problem is not exactly driving me crackers, it is becoming a niggle, along the lines of "I gots to know...". Also being a complete No-No regarding computers I am hoping someone out there will be "tut-tutting" and saying "you do this, silly". Replacing the drive is no problem as I've priced it as £12 (mmmm, I wonder if .....). Thanks in advance for any replies.
