Re: logical clock or counters

Hi kandi,

I dont understand exactly what you mean. Is it related to digital circuits?

If it is, then here is some information:

A clock is a repetitive binary signal with a defined period that is composed of 0 and 1 phases. In addition to a defined period, a clock also has a certain duty cycle, the ratio of the duration of its 0 and 1 phases to the overall period. An ideal clock has a 50/50 duty cycle, indicating that its period is divided evenly between the two states. Clocks regulate the
operation of a digital system by allowing time for new results to be calculated by logic gates and then capturing the results in flip-flops.

You can find more information about clock in this link:

What is a counter?
Here is the web definition of counter:
Quote:
In general, a counter is a device which stores (and sometimes displays) the number of times a particular event or process has occurred often in relationship to a clock. In practice, there are two types of counters:*up counters which increase (increment) in value*down counters which decrease (decrement) in value

You can find more information about counters in this link:

Or by searching through the google..

Cheers,
Paramesh.
