game development with javahi guys, i need a bit of advice. I have to design a poker game using java. The poker game will be player verses player rather than player verses computer, as i want to steer clear of artificial intelligence.
At the moment, i am considering player vs player mode over 2 computers using RMI (or something similar). My question is - Is there a way to have player vs player mode on the same screen, on just the one computer? I was thinking of creating a window for each player. When player one is happy with their cards they can click proceed, and their window is minimised while player 2's window is then maximised in order for them to take their turn. Any advice on how to go about this? Any other ideas? Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!! |

Re: game development with javaHi Ninian,
I think you can do this by using sockets. You can find more information about this in this link: Sockets You can find more information about socket communication in this link: Socket Communication Cheers, Paramesh. __________________
