Idea for an article

I don't know if you've done this already...but a good article for the site would be on "Ad management". You seem to have a nice setup with CJ, Burst, Fast(?) and individual banner ads running. I am sure webmasters could learn about how to best manage their ads, with some tips on maximizing revenue.

I don't know if I know enough to write a whole article but I think the idea I've always followed is to sprinkle the ads between the three:

Ads by Advertisers
Ads by Ad Networks (e.g. BurstMedia)
Ads by Affiliate Programs (e.g. CJ.com / Shareasale.com / etc)

It has worked well so far but I am planning to drop BurstMedia soon. All I need is another couple of Advertisers and that will happen.

As you know, many of the ad networks will only pay you for certain visitors or for say one impression per visitor etc...so it is possible to maximize earnings by using multiple providers and making sure the right visitor sees the right ad...etc.

I don't run any ads from networks like Fastclick/Burst/etc, just affiliates or else I could add some insight.

My opinion of ad networks

Seriously, when I first started looking for Ad Networks like BurstMedia and some others, I got disheartened that many rejected me simply because I registered as a Malaysian.

Nevermind if 65% of my readership is from the US, the majority of the remainder, from English-speaking countries like the UK, Canada and Australia.

Some, just plain didn't include the country (Malaysia) in their sign-up registration form! This is why I don't know enough to write about them.

This is also why most of them remain banned here, I am not giving them ANY publicity they don't deserve.

Like I said, all I need is 2 or 3 advertisers more and I shut down BurstMedia as well. No more 'Ad Networks' for me...

CJ.com is fine, I hope they are around for a long time

We keep this up, and you just might turn this into that article you were suggesting.
