Make Apache PublicI have set up Apache on my computer. On that computer, I can get to it by typing:localhost, MYIP, or one of the URLs I have forwarding to my IP. I have another computer in my network. I can get to the server by typing any of the above except localhost. Host would I make it so that a person on another computer would be able to get to the server?

Re: Make Apache PublicFirst of all you need to be on a public network with a public ip address (not private ala 10.*.*.* or 192.168.*.*) If you have a public IP address and you allow traffic from ip port 80 through your firewall, you should be able to hit your web site by typing in the ip address.
You need to register a domain name and have your ISP place it in a public name server attached to your IP address to be able to call it up by name. Not that I mind, but this really does not have anything to do with Apache. It sounds like you have Apache working just fine if you can hit it on the localhost as well as on another networked computer. So you just need to figure out if you have a static public IP address. __________________
