Question

How to Remove Host Protected Area (HPA) of (ATA) Hard disk in windows with API calls?

I wish to remove Host Protected Area(HPA) of Hard Disk under Windows only through API calls... I found "setmax.c" in Linux version through Google which should be ported to windows... It shouldn't be written through Device Driver becaz for driver loading service be created...Whenever service is created, service key for app. is stored in Registry that shouldn't be happened due to SRS...Please suggest me the in the right direct for getting the solution asap...

Thanks in advance.....

Regards,
Mohan
