Hi,

I'm trying to build a website and I've been adviced to use something like Frontpage to make the site, and then upload it to host, like cjb.net..

I'm not really sure what I'm doing though lol.. just know that Id like it to look good.. I've looked at a couple of other websites and I have an idea of what Id like it to look like. I was wondering is there anywhere were I can find (free) layouts, templetes, and backgrounds and other graphics etc for my website?

You can find free templates on the web or even on GIDForums. Just do a quick search and you should find what you want.

I know Dreamweaver has a few templates, so I'd suspect Frontpage does too. However, it's mostly just a matter of practice. I just completed most of the work for my site and I'm already thinking about revising it.

If you like to read and don't mind spending the time to learn these things through you may want to look at this wiki for more help. Buried in there somewhere is this page that shows some good examples of 3 column layouts. I know I have some other free for reuse sites. Try a google with css, three column, GPL or open source. Some combination of those and I found a site that had hundreds of them with thumbnails and rankings. If I find that link I'll post it here but don't hold your breath. :-) I couldn't find it in my bookmarks (which doesn't mean it's not there, just hiding) when I checked.

The moral, there are good guides out there, but you have to be creative with your search query. Hopefully the wiki will point you in the right direction.
