Apache And CGI Scripts

Good Morning Gents.

This is my first post but i've browsed the site many times before

I've been battling to configure SmokePing but that seems to be okay now.

However the front end for SmokePing is a CGI file (smokeping.cgi).

When i browse to the page xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
the page isn't 'rendered' and the contents of the page (coding) is spewed
in the browser.

I've chmod'd the CGI-BIN folder to 755 +x so i dont think it's an permissions issue. I'm definately a bit of a n3wb when it comes to apache.
Is there a module that needs to be configured for CGI scrips to work ?

EDIT: Suse 9.3 with Apache 2

Re: Apache And CGI Scripts

Dont worry about this problem i managed to resolve it myself.

But thanks for looking and not replying

To any other n3wbs out there, if you are going to be running a CGI script not in the default CGI-BIN you need to change the location in the Apache config, i think the TAG is "Script Aliasing" .
