XML:Flat File Backend for storing data
XHTML:Some new HTML standard, only works in M$ IE 5.0+ for XHTML 1.0 and M$ IE 6.0+ fir XHTML 1.0, I don't think you should bothere convering HTML pages because once I viewd an XHTML 1.0 page in IE 4.0 and Netscape and it looked awful! You couldn't click on links even! XHTML is very strict as HTML is not, ignore XHTML. |

Actually XML is really cool and XSL (stylesheet for XML) and XHTML are closely related. I use XML and XSL on a regular basis, however IE 5 and 5.5 do not handle XML correctly, the problem is fixed in IE 6. XML, XSL, and XHTML are extremely strict, but they are fun to mess around with. I would suggest going to www.w3schools.com to learn XML, they also have a great JavaScript and HTML site. The next time I'm at school I'll send you one of my XML and XSL files.

btw roly, ur avatar has my vote as the best one i've seen so far - did u nick it from someplace or did u make it urself? that reminds me, i should have bought a book on 3D graphics instead??? |
