Question

Firebird browser

I've been getting quite a few users coming into the site using the firebird browser (originally phoenix), which is affilliated with Mozilla. I was wondering if anyone had tried out this version 0.6 and whether they'd recommend it to others or not.

I can confirm that this is a neat little browser, packing in under 7mb. It even imports your IE favourites automatically and its incredibly simple and intuitive to use.
I'm really excited about what they can do with this as at the moment its only stand alone with no kind of installation proedure.

Just out of curiosity, is this a beta release or something stable? Where can I read more about this browser and the bugs if any?

New daily build

Just wanted to give a quick update to say that I'm testing out the new daily build of Firebird and its lightening quick. Apparently, as soon as Mozilla 1.5 and Firebird 0.7 comes out, Mozilla will be adopting it as their main browser, which should open it up to a lot more people.

I discovered tabs pages the other day and I absolutely love them. No more masses of opened windows, draining the memory and losing my place.

One annoyance so far is the cursor isn't far enough away from the letters whilst typing this or in the address bar, it just looks a tad bit messy.

How a CSS-only web page looks on Firebird.

Oh good, there's a thread in the Mod Room where I requested someone with a non-standard (well, you know what I mean) browser to see how the html sample file (including css) works. Could you check it out for me using Firebird? This is what I plan to change the rest of the site to today ... or tomorrow, ok when I get it done then!

Appreciate a screenshot if that's not too much trouble... (don't paste the screeenshot here )
