PHP installationHi,
I am trying to install Apache 2.0.54, Mysql 4.0.25 and Php 4.4.0 on a linux machine (through SSH).I have installed apache 2.0.54 sucessfully, since I am able to see the start up page for apache. I have also installed Mysql 4.0.25 sucessfully. I installed php 4.4.0 using the source file. It didnt give me an error during installation. Now when I run the test.php page (<? php phpinfo()?>, it opens the dreamweaver page. This means tht PHP is not properly installed. I have tried installing it a number of times but I keep getting the same error. I have edited the httpd.conf file and the php.ini file.Somebody please help me out and let me what I am doing wrong. |

Re: PHP installationit is most likely that apache is not recognising the extension of your php file
try adding the following line to your httpd.conf and restart apache. AddType application/x-httpd-php .php |
