Re: What are Google Sitemaps good for?Really, it makes a difference.
However, please note that Google Sitemaps has been, for the last few days, acting abnormally. Usually, it retrieves the sitemap index & xml files once a day (since I update and ping the service once a day). Recently however, it's fetching the sitemap INDEX file repeatedly. For a few days this last one week, that was the only file it picked up, meaning it didn't grab the sitemap XML files themselves, just the sitemap INDEX file! |

Re: What are Google Sitemaps good for?I actually had to back out of the Drupal 4.6.3 upgrade so I am Google Sitemap-less.

I don't think it is necessary to use them yet as it is in beta stages. Has anybody seen any ranking improvement or any other improvement from using them. __________________

Re: What are Google Sitemaps good for?I've added that google sitemap to my website (personal homepage) I created on geocities, but it's having prob asking to put the google file (a blank page ".html") on the geocities.com
 how am I gonna do that?I just left everything as it is, I didn't understand what is it exactly about, can anybody explain.. Thnx __________________
