[Linux] Updates and upgrades questionsOkay, now that I have installed for 102nd time, I think I finally figured a few more important things about managing my Linux install.
Now, for the next phase... If I want to update the kernel, what is my motivation to do it? I am using Linux RH 7.1 (2.4+ kernel). If it's security related, where can I find the latest, stable RPM for it. I have been to rpmfind.net a few times already but just don't know which to download. Where can I find an RPM for Netscape 7 for my Linux version? __________________

you think in the Windows way......
you do not want to update your kernel. it's about the same like switching from win98 to XP things can go wrong, really wrong.. |

Actually? I am not thinking in the usual Windows way
It's just that yesterday I had to update gcc compiler since all my ./configure were failing. I wondered what else needed to be updated, hence my question. Otherwise, I am happy I don't need to download anything in the next few days... Yeah, back to the question: Anything on Netscape? __________________
