Problem with DocumentRoot with apache 2.0 on Red Hat Linux(im a noob)


Hi !
i finished installing apache 2.0 on RedHatLinux and when i run the test page .. it loads fine ...,But when i create a test html page on my own and save it in /usr/local/apache2/htdocs and then specify the url as http://localhost/<filename>.html, It gives me an "Object Not Found" error ..... i checked my DocumentRoot in httpd.conf and its correct .... im confused .. need some help here ..
