I think it is a very big job to get a whole anti spy ware source code... I have googled a lot.. without matches... I'm making a AntiSpyware program. With inspiration from Microsofts AntiSpyware program. It is _VERY_ more complicated than u think! I have only made a process stopper and the main design! The search function and the other stuff is hard for a noob (like me).
I hope someone knows a source code...

Re: Anti-spyware source code/tutorial

Take a look at www.sourceforge.net and see if there's an AV project similar to what you want. The source code is open-sourced so you can look at it and use it, as long as you don't violate the license.

Re: Anti-spyware source code/tutorial

From the http://clamav.net/ website:
Quote:
Clam AntiVirus is an open source (GPL) anti-virus toolkit for UNIX, designed especially for e-mail scanning on mail gateways. It provides a number of utilities including a flexible and scalable multi-threaded daemon, a command line scanner and advanced tool for automatic database updates. The core of the package is an anti-virus engine available in a form of shared library.
The download page shows the http://svn.clamav.net/svn/clamav-devel/trunk/ where you can checkout the source. Or you can grab archives from the http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=86638.
