Hey all,
I got a simple, yet unanswered question...why doesn't my CD BURNER work anymore? It can read cd's that have data on them, but when a blank disc is inserted, it makes a distinct noise pattern (like it's searching for something) and never stops. It won't write anymore...help!

Has this just started all of a sudden? I've been to the www.americas.creative.com, and it says things like to turn off Auto-Insert notification.

There's loads of articles, and the search is pretty lousy, turning up nearly all the articles each time. I wish you luck!

yes i've been there, but to no avail, most of the options aren't even availble to perform. and I don't know how to disable auto insert notification. Actually, this has all of a sudden began, because I was able to burn cd's flawlessly beforehand. I don't know what's wrong...:-(

Here's a rather risky route to take, but if your out of options then see what you think. Upgrated your firmware, its generally been useful for me, but it certainly isn't foolproof.
