Windows XP Upgrade

Yo,

I have Windows ME right now and am going to upgrade to Windows XP. Once I open up the package, will there just be discs to put in to the computer just like you are doing a rebuild? I will have to back the things I want to save right? So pretty much, once I open the package up, there are just discs right?

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum BTW.

Should be disks and a pathetic manual. Yes you want to back up your data files and probably any program installation files so you can reinstall.
