The Google update this time...

I seriously think that the REAL update for Google has just begun (actually about 24 - 48 hours ago). It is only in the last couple of days that my newer pages like: http://www.desilva.biz/mysql/listdbs.html
have started to appear on Google for the very first time.

I'm seeing different results on www to www2 & 3 as well as varying results on datacentres -dc, -sj and -fi
Although there is an update going on, the backlinks to Yahoo have not changed.

www1/2/3 have been 'dancing' for over a week now...no sign of a real update though. I think we might see Google skip this month or start a new schedule.

This is a quote from the grub forum:
Quote:
With soon enough, I mean that this other search engine (Google) seems to be experimenting with new things in the latest update. If this update to their index is a sign of things to come, they seem to be getting rid of their usual way of doing things. Rather than having one big update every month they seem to be going to extend that period, yet pay way more relevance and include the results gathered by their so called Freshbot in a seamless, continous way. For those who wonder, Freshbot performs less deep crawls, yet on a daily(ish) basis, of sites they understand are updated frequently. Does it ring a bell to anyone?

I have been getting a large influx of freshbot activity on my site and relatively little deepbot, but that might be the combination of having a database driven site that can allow me to change things quickly so it is deemed fresh.

If this keeps up, I am going to have to abandon that Google Alert idea I have been playing around with in my head (and of course, updating that thread)

It's getting to be too much for me lil ol' head!
