File extensions questionMy website's pages are .shtml files (to allow for SSI includes) and now I was planning on a redesign to let my site handle PHP includes, and other PHP goodies. I could just rename the files to .php but than all Google rankings will be lost as they have had my .shtml files for over 2 years now. So to make it short, is there any way I can have a page with a .shtml extension and still have it parse PHP code?
Or does anyone else have any other suggestion. Oh and my host is personalsites.org if anyone wants to know (to see if they support something). |

You can use the htaccess to basically rename the shtml to php and then the server would think it is PHP. It might be easier on the server & quicker to load though if you rename it to PHP
