Hi everbody. Im an electronics engineer and i wish to develop medical device for heart monitoring. Could somebody tell me how can i enter signals via microphone (soundcard) input and monitor them by C++ or C builder.
Or how can i enter signals via rs-232 and then monitor the forms of signals.
Which books shoud i read ???

P.S. Im familar with c++ and i can develop simple programms

I found this excellent tutorial on Serial Port (RS-232 and others) Programming on Unix.

Have a look at it. Might just get you started with what you are trying to achieve. If you need to develop on Windows, just google for it. There tones to tutorials out there.
