deadhippo is on a distinguished road

please review my yokohama site

http://www.deadhippo.com/

hi, any comments about the site are welcome but im particulary concerned with nav bar development

basically the nav bar will be included on everypage, possibly including a banner at a future date and a search function

im not sure how to do do this without taking the simplicity away from the design but any ideas are more than wecome

the older photo albums were made with templates but they will all be converted to the same style when i decide on the top nav situation
ill also try to make the message board the same

the main container, im pretty happy with although ill change the content of the homepage to explain the sites purpose more clearly

A very clean site with some interesting background graphics. One thing though, the top menu is very easy to miss. You need to do something so that it stands out a little bit.

JdS will become famous soon enough
deadhippo,

The pages are really flying -- fast, which is always a good thing. Where is the server located? In Japan?

The design is simple yet not boring; another plus.

Is this your first web site?

Is this your first web site?

well yes and no
i started by using my web host templates in january
then i used some software templates
until finally i decided to design my own site
i work 6 days a week so it was hard to put my head down and do it but im glad i did

so you could say its my third site but its my first design
or its my first site in its third stage of development

at the moment im working on the navigation again and to tell you the truth it has been my biggest headache
ive probably spent more time on that than on everything else put together and i ended up simplifying it
