Re: Infogrames; Silver

OK guys sorry for being gone some long but I have search around and again found the patches that are available for Silver. Let me know if any of these work or not.

um pcxgamer, whenever I try the links of anything you've put, the link doesn't work... and its only 1 month after

Found the way for Geforce (or some other cards) to run Silver. Just look up silveruk_geforce2patch_v2.zip on Google and a couple will let you download the file.

Hi Moijn0001!

I would appreciate if you could send me the 'after oracle' file too, if its possible. I'm going to keep it forever so I can play this great game again and again.

Re: Infogrames; Silver

Sorry to post this here, but I am in dire need of your expertise and - believe it or not - I don't know how to start a new thread .

Please bear with me and forgive me if you have already explained this dozens of times as my expertise and knowledge of the technical workings of computers is quite limited. (So, if you will, please explain as if I were a 7 year old.)

I have the UK version of Silver and my computer runs on Windows 2000. The situation is that when I install the programme, it runs perfectly fine, and when it asks to install the DirectX (which I do) there seems to be no problems there either.

The dilemma arises when after installation is complete, it comes to initially attempting to play the game as absolutely nothing happens. I have of late, out of exasperation even attempted to run every executable programme on the disk associated with starting the game but it steadfastly refuses to start.

I thought that perhaps it was my operating system, however when I tried in on my parents computer which utilises Windows XP, the results are identical.

Any assistance would be most appreciated.

P.S. I do not have regular internet access, so please understand if I cannot reply to your response immediately, so if possible, please paste a duplicate of the explanation into my email here: alfamovierental@gmail.com

Many thanks.

Re: Infogrames; Silver

Hello,

I have a problem.
I want to play Silver again, so I installed the game on my PC (XP).
I installed the game before, and got it to work.

But this time I can't make it run.
Installing the game works, and I used the SilverUK_GeForce2Patch_v2.
But when I run the game, I only get the sound, and after that nothing at all.

Can you guys help me please?

Re: Infogrames; Silver

By the way, I just installed the game on my notbook (windows Vista), and it works fine on it.

I have a Geforce videocard on my PC, and installed the latest driver.

What could be the problem???

Re: Infogrames; Silver

I know its rude to dig up a thread as old as this one, but I saw no reason to start a new one for a topic as old and persistent as this one:

I am trying to run Silver under Vista32.

I have installed the inofficial US Patch for newer PCs, set the compatibility to Windows 2000, run it as an administrator and get a black screen, the sound for the first logo if the intros (I guess) and after that black nothingness.

I am still searching for a solution on various other boards but any and all input from any and everywhere is appreciated, thank you.

Any ideas?
