Hobby

I was reading an article today on Gamespy here the link. Basically two profession share their option about opening E3 to the public. And of course I'm all for it seeing as how I've been dying to go for sometime now but you have to be a profession to get in. Well I read the article and then I decided to voice my option on it and I wrote a small comment to go with my vote. In my comment I made a statement about how serious games are important to the Industry to and how I think that Gamers should be able to attend. Well then I got to thinking about my love of games and decided to estimated just how much money to date I have spend on this hobby that I love and the results. I almost passed out over the past 14 years and the major amount was spent here in the past 6 years on game both PC and Console and then hardware PC and Console I have spent an estimated 10 thousand dollars . I can't help be think man what a sad little man am I. .

No matter what it is, if you enjoy it, then it's worthwhile. That's what hobbies are about, a wasting time at something you love doing, spending copius amounts of money at it, and meeting other like-minded individuals.

I'm a Mathematician for God's sake! I should know There's not many of us, but we love what we do.

I would agree. It just that look back on it that’s a lot of money and I didn't even realize that I had spent that much on games but it keep me happy and is a really big stress reliever.
