yeah.. on this site i'm very aware that it doesn't want me advertising my site until i post 10 times.. but right now i have nothing to say.. so now i ask all of you that have a forum site with some members which i don't... how did you get ppl to respond to your site and start posting? how did you advertise for free?

One way to get some visitors is to add a link in your signature at the various forums that you post on.

My forum can cover almost anyones interests.. its a portal forum site and i originally made it for the idea to be an internet community.. so i guess it could cover socail issues and anything else... how would you put the link in the signature? would'nt you have to ask the admin of those forum sites first?

I'm new aswell but I think that you are given the signature facility when you reach a certain member level, so keep posting.

Adter a year and a half, that doesn't seem likely. You might want to check the dates of posts you're answering...
