crazydumbass876 is on a distinguished road

im having touble with:
linksys router/gateway
setting up apache to work on port 8080

can someone please explian how to make apache work on ports other than 80? and how to m=you configure a cable gateway/router to work on that same port?? im tottaly new to apache. any feedback is greatly appreciated thanx.
